H.M. Comer Hall – College of Engineering

The project comprises the interior and exterior renovations to a 3-story existing building.

The majority of the existing concrete structural frame of the building will be retained, and all building systems will be completely replaced. The majority of the exterior envelope of the building will be replaced. There will be some small 3-story additions to the building on the west side, and a 2-story addition on the east side of the building.

The buildings will primary house administrative spaces on the second and third floors. The first floor will house one lecture hall, reception areas, and additive and subtractive manufacturing spaces.

Once extensive renovations are complete, H.M. Comer Hall will reopen as the home of the College of Engineering’s administration including the Dean’s office, the Capstone Engineering Society, Information Technology and Engineering Services and the offices for all seven academic departments.
