Autodesk University 2026 brought AEC professionals to Las Vegas from September 15 to 17 for three days on AI, connected workflows, and project delivery. ENG joined with a large cross-functional team spanning VDC, MEP, reality capture, and AI development. The team presented two sessions: one on machine-learning BIM estimating, and another on structuring MEP BIM production with Autodesk Content Catalog. The week closed with ENG on the Rocks, a client reception at Ole Red Las Vegas. Both sessions reinforced a shared principle: the value of BIM data begins before modeling and extends throughout production.

Predict Before You Model: ML-Powered BIM Estimating
On Tuesday, September 15, Gabriel Campos and Gustavo Gusmao presented Predict Before You Model (CES1779), introducing ENG’s machine-learning BIM estimating tool, trained on thousands of real projects. The session explored how historical project data can inform estimating decisions before modeling begins, bringing data-driven analysis into an earlier stage of BIM planning.
From Content to Control: Structuring MEP BIM Production
On Thursday, September 17, Valentin David and Florencia Kossman presented From Content to Control (BES3302). The session focused on structuring MEP BIM production with Autodesk Content Catalog, showing how organized content can help teams work more consistently and maintain control across BIM workflows.
ENG on the Rocks: Client Reception at Ole Red
ENG also hosted ENG on the Rocks, a happy hour for key clients at Ole Red Las Vegas. On Wednesday evening, clients and ENG teams traded notes over food, drinks, and live music.
