ENG participated in the 11th annual Advancing Construction Technology conference, held August 26–28 at the Hyatt Regency O’Hare Chicago. The event brought together more than 400 professionals working across VDC, BIM, field technology, operations, and construction innovation.
Across discussions on BIM and VDC implementation, AI, reality capture, technology ROI, and workflow standardization, one practical challenge remained central: turning technology investments into repeatable workflows that support project execution.
For ENG, that challenge is closely connected to how BIM and VDC information moves from coordination into fabrication and the field.
Making construction technology work in practice
A central focus of Advancing Construction Technology 2026 was implementation: how construction firms can move from evaluating or piloting technology to establishing workflows that project teams can use consistently.
For ENG, these subjects are directly relevant to turning coordinated BIM and VDC information into usable deliverables for construction teams. Effective coordination requires more than a clash-free model. It depends on clear scope, constructability review, trade alignment, timely issue resolution, and information that supports fabrication and field installation.
Conversations at ENG’s Booth 10
At Booth 10, ENG’s team connected with construction professionals to discuss BIM, VDC, MEP coordination, and the role of constructible, fabrication-ready information in project delivery.

These conversations reinforced a practical priority for construction teams: models, coordination workflows, and digital tools create the most value when they help teams identify issues earlier, reduce avoidable rework, improve communication among trades, and provide reliable information for field teams.
