Case Study: Extreme Optimization of Hospital Install Time and Cost with BIM MEP Rack Design. Watch it now!
On May 22–23, ENG participated at Advancing Preconstruction 2025 in San Diego, CA. This national event is dedicated to improving how construction teams plan, estimate, and coordinate work from day one. With project timelines tightening and design decisions moving faster than ever, this year’s sessions focused on real strategies to align stakeholders earlier and reduce downstream risk.
ENG presented a technical session in collaboration with All Trades Mechanical, addressing a growing issue in preconstruction workflows: when BIM coordination goes beyond resolving clashes and starts altering the design itself.
The presentation focused on three specific challenges:
The session emphasized the need for clear boundaries and earlier alignment to keep coordination from escalating into redesign
Beyond the session, ENG welcomed industry professionals at our booth, creating a space for open dialogue around today’s most pressing preconstruction challenges. These conversations allowed our team to gain valuable insight into the evolving needs of builders, trade partners, and VDC leaders.
By actively listening and engaging in meaningful discussions, we explored the real obstacles teams face in moving toward more industrialized and coordinated construction and identified new opportunities to support those goals better.
